Our state-of-the-art pizza manufacturing facility is located in Milwaukee's vibrant Menomonee River Valley. Our high-tech operations include three on-site bakeries producing best-in-class crusts, automated robotic packaging equipment, and a 24-hour shipping and receiving facility. When you'll work...
This role predominantly follows a Monday through Friday schedule during 1st shift hours. However, project needs may occasionally require support during 2nd and 3rd shifts or on weekends to ensure successful execution and startup.
What you'll do...
As a Project Engineer , you will help lead the technical roadmap for our pizza manufacturing operations, managing projects to improve efficiencies, enhance productivity, and reduce costs. Here's how you'll make an impact:
  • Lead and Manage Projects : Define scope, roles, and responsibilities, and develop comprehensive project plans including cost, schedule, and risk assessments.
  • Project Execution : Write and manage Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs), develop project budgets, create savings analyses, and provide alternatives for continuous improvement.
  • From Concept to Start-Up : Manage projects from initial design through installation and start-up, working closely with internal teams, contractors, and external vendors.
  • Technical Problem-Solver : Actively engage with plant management and production teams to solve complex technical challenges and implement high-value solutions.
  • Support Maintenance Programs : Partner with Maintenance to establish preventative maintenance and spare parts programs, ensuring ongoing production reliability.

With your 5+ years of experience in Mechanical, Project, or Manufacturing Engineering-preferably in food or beverage manufacturing-you'll bring a depth of knowledge to design and execute high-value projects. Here's what sets you apart:
  • Project Management Expertise : You're organized, methodical, and know how to keep projects on time and within budget, leveraging your experience with construction management and coordination of third-party contractors.
  • Safety-Focused : You emphasize safety in everything you do, with working knowledge of food safety standards including U.S.D.A. and hygienic design for manufacturing.
  • Continuous Learner : You have a strong interest in mastering new mechanical and electrical technologies and a commitment to staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Team Player : Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills make you a collaborative partner, dedicated to ensuring the entire Palermo's team succeeds.
