Job Requirements / Description
Hilltop Holdings is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer who will play a crucial role in our organization's cloud transformation. You’ll work with a team of talented engineers to design, implement, and manage Azure solutions in an Active Directory and Exchange hybrid environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited university and/or related industry certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCP, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years managing Azure services
- Minimum 5 years managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policy, and Domain and Forest
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Financial industry experience preferred
Nice to have:
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-500).
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Azure Governance and Security best practices.

Responsibilities:
- Exchange and Azure Integration:
- Set up and maintain Exchange hybrid configuration.
- Ensure smooth mail flow between on-premises Exchange and Exchange Online.
- Conditional Access and Security:
- Create and enforce conditional access policies.
- Implement security best practices for Azure services.
- Participate in security audits and compliance assessments.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure services.
- Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues and end-users.
- Hybrid Environment Management:
- Configure and maintain Azure AD Connect for seamless synchronization between on-premises AD and Azure AD
- Manage identity federation, password hash sync, and SSO.
- Monitor and troubleshoot identity-related issues.
- Microsoft 365 Suite:
- Manage Microsoft Teams settings, permissions, and policies
- Manage Microsoft Intune settings, permissions, and policies
- Office365 License management
- Group Policy Management (GPOs):
- Design, implement, and maintain GPOs for Windows-based systems
- Configure security settings, and user preferences using GPOs
- Troubleshoot GPO-related issues and ensure consistent policy enforcement
- Perform other duties as assigned
