Job Description

An Associate Facility Engineer is an individual contributor in a multidisciplinary field of engineering concerned with the physical infrastructure of an industrial facility. Engineers are responsible for the design, installation, operation, maintenance, modification, construction, modernization, design and protection of physical facilities and equipment (building, power, water, sewer, chemical, piping, ventilation, lighting, space utilization, furniture, etc.) used to produce quality products.

Responsibilities

  1. Work with vendors to start up and install new equipment at Bosch Roseville.
  2. Prepare designs, layouts, drawings, and bills of material for major maintenance, facility improvements, and other projects.
  3. Modify existing equipment and systems for the purpose of improving efficiency, safety, reliability, capacity, and cost effectiveness.
  4. Troubleshoot problems with facility systems.
  5. Develop corrective action proposals and recommendations.
  6. Provide standard operating procedures and specifications governing the operation and maintenance of facility systems and equipment.
  7. Develop installation packages for the hook-up, demolition, or relocation of production equipment.
  8. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, statutes, and codes; securing all required permits; and coordinating with appropriate local authorities.
  9. Initiate and implement continuous improvement programs using metrics and reporting systems.
  10. Train facilities mechanics as needed on systems to improve 24x7 response time.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  1. BS degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or the equivalent in education and 0-3 yrs relevant work experience required.
  2. Experience / Proficiency reading, understanding, and interpreting technical documents and manuals.
  3. Experience creating and maintaining operating and training documents and manuals.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in design, operation, and troubleshooting HVAC, water treatment, control systems, or chemical systems.
  2. Control systems troubleshooting experience.
  3. Work experience in a clean room desired.
  4. Proficiency to multitask and work under pressure.
  5. Strong communications skills with various audiences from vendors to fellow engineers to operators.
  6. Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications—Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  1. This role will work on site in Roseville, CA.
  2. This position works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary.
