Summary:The Sustaining Product Cost Engineer (PCE) is the Single Threaded Leader (STL) for mass production (MP) product cost from Ramp through End of Life (EOL). As the voice of the product portfolio’s financial health, the PCE is responsible for modeling and communicating the cost tradeoffs associated with MP product decisions and influencing these decisions to ensure Reality Labs (RL) is optimizing MP cost performance. The PCE is responsible for coordinating with cross functional Operations teams to develop cost optimization plans, drive execution, and subsequently report out plan updates and performance against targets at Leadership Reviews. They will have a strong technical understanding of the product and combine this with a customer-centric mindset to engage with cross functional teams and challenge decisions.
