Wage Range: $92,144 - $147,451 per year
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary:
As a network engineer you will build, deploy, refresh, and maintain networking solutions including management and automation solutions. You will provide on-site and remote support to our colleagues who have critical response time requirements for their healthcare technology systems. You will work independently and as part of the Network Operations team to answer service calls, urgently analyze technical issues, address tier-two escalations, work with the project manager on team related projects, and resolve issues via Teams/on-site/via remote access. You will work directly with clinical and administration stakeholders to plan and implement technology refresh projects, considering the high-availability requirements of a clinical network.
This role will be responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of EvergreenHealth’s internal/external network, including patient-facing and clinical environments. The incumbent will provide expert technical assistance to IT team members with high-level system and networking requests. This role is responsible for testing, implementing, and supporting complex infrastructure aligned with the requirements of EvergreenHealth’s business and clinical environment spread across multiple campuses and physical locations.
Primary Duties:
- Deploy, manage, maintain, and refresh multi-vendor, multi-protocol data center, edge networks
- Deploy, manage maintain, and refresh wireless infrastructure
- Deploy, manage maintain, and refresh remote access solutions
- Deploy, manage maintain, and refresh new network security solutions
- Develop and maintain monitoring metrics to assure optimal network performance and ongoing improvement
- Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to network issues
- Maintain a thorough inventory of network related assets including depreciable and useful life
- Recommend refresh and replacement requirements in support of annual operating and capital budgeting processes
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Data Center, Campus, and Branch location network equipment.
- Perform wired and wireless network assessments and audits
- Participate in the administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system: update agent scripts, respond to alerts, monitor dashboard, and periodic system review
- Work with Project Managers to identify new products and solutions, and research solutions for existing systems
- Work with vendors to investigate new equipment and services as they become available
- Communication with colleagues and leadership as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
- Be available for other engineers and coach them in your areas of expertise
- Participate in 24-7 on call rotation
- Other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical and/or business-related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a network engineering/support position.
- Strong attention to detail and process.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and deliver timely resolutions.
- Ability to document technical solutions, including as-built diagrams.
- Self-starter with the ability manage projects to completion.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills conducive to team development.
- Dependable, flexible, and willing to work in a 24/7 environment (Rotational Shifts).
- Proficient in at least one scripting language
- Campus and Data Center Switching (Capacity Planning & VLANs)
- Cisco Routing (OSPF, BGP)
- Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching or equivalent experience
- Cisco CCNA Security or equivalent experience
- Cisco Meraki Wireless, Gateway, and Switching experience
- HPE Aruba experience
