Job Description
NBCUniversal Team is looking for a Software Engineer for our Cineo team in Chandler, AZ. In this role, you will be able to develop and support Cineo Control console firmware used in the LB800, Standard480, Reflex and future Cineo products. This position requires you to be able to develop specifications and documentation for your work, program and test your software and manage the time and resources required to meet target software deliverables on schedule.
What You’ll Do:
- Development of applications programs for lighting control of stage lighting used for film and television (Stagelynx is our App’s product name)
- Communications with networked lighting control systems and precise control over color
- Develop complete software programs with reasonable management support.
- Development of software designs, source code implementation, compiling, verification and debug on the target custom Cineo console hardware.
- Setup and support of programming IDE
- Responsible to install and manage several software development programming environments for use in creating Cineo firmware and software.
- Organization, archival and offsite storage of all Cineo software revisions (source code and object code)
- Responsible for testing of new software on all applicable fixtures and interfacing with various control systems.
- Responsible for the release of the software with support documentation.
- Development of technical specifications and documentation
- Document and archive operation and details of all software

What You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field
- 3+ years of programming experience
- Familiarity with C, C++ software development (Qt a plus)
- Familiarity of Linux OS and Windows OS, drivers and configurations
- Familiarity of Raspberry PI hardware platform and use of GPIO for expansion of custom hardware and software features to be implemented in Cineo systems
- Cross-platform software development for Windows, iOS, and MAC
What Would Make You a Stand-out
- Extensive knowledge in the software and programs listed above
- Interest in gaming systems and Virtual Reality a plus
- Interest in networked control systems, film, and television production technologies a plus
- Knowledge of color theory and CIE Color is a plus
- Programming for DMX and RDM lighting control systems is a plus
