Location: Local to Wash DC Metro, Hybrid
Relocation: Relo support will be considered for candidates outside the Washington DC commuting area.
Position Description:
JTEC is hiring a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with in-depth military data experience to support our work on the DoD ADVANA advancing analytics platform. This position requires broad techical and functional expertise working with DoD data. Qualified candidates will have recent experience supporting the U.S. military in a Data Science, Data Visualization, or Data Engineering focused role and possess a deep understanding of developing and advancing data-driven platform capabilities.
Duties and responsibilities include:

• Work as part of a collaborative team of government and contractor staff providing data expertise to support and streamline mission-focused data analysis.
• Guide automation development and improve data quality to create visually compelling data analytics.
• Support defense leadership and stakeholders providing actionable insights.
• Work with a blended cross-functional team supporting multi-phase solution development with a focus on data analysis, data transformation, and change management.
• Support evidence-based decision-making using data analysis and statistical modeling.
• Leverage historical and predictive data analytics to identify opportunities for cost savings, optimize resources, and predict trends.
• Support scenario analysis to identify strategic opportunities to meet organizational goals.
• Implement performance metrics and support continuous evaluation and improvements.
• Participate in requirements meetings, workshops, and meetings with leadership and stakeholders, as required.

Education and qualifications include:

• U.S. citizenship
• Current TS/SCI security clearance
• 10+ years of data and software solutioning expertise including:
  • Recent related experience supporting a very large data environment for a DoD and/or IC customer
  • 3+ years of recent experience specifically working with military data

• Demonstrated expertise with digital strategy
• Strong working knowledge of enterprise architecture
• Ability to articulate challenges and solutions across the full SDLC
• Experience supporting data transformation
• Prior project management/technical lead experience in a related area
• Extensive experience working with data visualization and dashboard development tools
• Advanced proficiency with Python, SQL, Spark, and data science technologies
• Experience working with DataBricks
• Demonstrated experience creating data-related software applications from scratch
• Ability to articulate prior experience supporting military data problems and application solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate in a blended team environment
• Proven expertise and prior success supporting high-profile customer engagements
• Availability to support hybrid schedule

Preferred experience includes:

• Knowledge of Qlik technologies including Qlik/Qlik Sense, QVD/QlikView, and Qlik Production Application Standards (QPAS) is highly desired

Salary:
JTEC offers competitive compensation and benefits to all employees. Salaries are dependent upon a wide range of factors including position requirements, customer/program needs, individual qualifications, education, experience, certification and/or training, location, and other job-related factors.
Pay Range: $180,000 - $200,000 per year
