As an Android Software Engineer on the TikTok AI Camera Team, you will be a key member responsible for developing and optimizing camera tools and features on the TikTok platform. Your technical expertise and creative mindset will directly impact the way users express themselves and create content. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, you will help design and implement cutting-edge and user-friendly camera tools.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and maintain high-performance Android applications that enable users to effortlessly create, edit, and share creative content.
2. Stay up-to-date with the latest Android mobile development, AIGC and Generative AI technologies, and incorporate them into the product development process, ensuring our creative tools stay at the forefront of the industry.
3. Collaborate with product teams to understand user needs and product visions, transforming design concepts into practical mobile application features.
4. Optimize application performance to deliver smooth user experiences and exceptional interface responsiveness.
5. Collaborate in the development and maintenance of core components and frameworks for the Android app, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
6. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and bugs, ensuring application stability and security.
7. Work closely with backend engineers to ensure seamless integration between the mobile app and backend systems.
8. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, fostering a culture of technical learning and growth within the team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

1. Demonstrated expertise in Android app development and optimization, familiar with Android app architecture and design patterns.
2. Deep experience with Android development tools and common third-party libraries.
3. Familiarity with RESTful API integration, understanding of network communication, and data parsing.
4. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, efficiently identifying and resolving technical issues.
5. Excellent team player, capable of collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive project progress.
6. Creative mindset and a passion for mobile app development.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or above degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 2 years of practical experience in Android mobile app development, with a strong command of Java or Kotlin programming languages.
