Training for this position will take place at our Arlington facility (3106 Sprocket Drive), in the fall of 2024/winter 2025 this position will transfer to our Fort Worth facility located at 3600 McCart Ave., Fort WorthKey Responsibilities:Set up and operate B-Axis lathes and or 5-Axis CNC Mill-Turn machines to perform task such as turning, drilling, milling, part complete operations.Optimize set-up times, maximize machine utilization.Understand specifications of the tasks by reading blueprints, route instructionsUtilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerancesTroubleshoot programs and make adjustments when neededSetup CNC equipment to complete full cycles to produce a high and low volume of parts, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and inspect parts with a high degree of precisionFollow the in-process part inspection process and notify the Supervisor/Lead on the occurrence of non-conformance.Communicate with, managers, programmers, and quality personnel for assignments, and resolve quality issues.Work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift.Document all issues to ensure a smooth transition of information between departmentsCheck and perform preventive maintenance dailySchedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.What are we looking for?We're looking for engaged individuals who are adaptable to a changing environment, take pleasure in learning, and enjoy working with others.Key Competencies:Minimum 3 years of machining experience which includes performing set ups.Knowledge of all required measuring equipment which includes calipers, gaugesProficient math skillsAbility to document machining proceduresKnowledge of metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe/mill toolingExperience with DMG Mori Mill-Turn and/or Brother multi-axis machines a plusSimple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in EnglishPhysically able to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning componentsWork scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policiesAbility to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environmentConsistently stand for an entire shiftStrong knowledge of machining practices and materials is a must, as is general mechanical knowledgeWillingness to be trained with a desire to learnAbility to work in a team settingGreat work ethic, reliable, positive attitudeExperience with Siemens and/or Brother controlsTo perform this job successfully, you must be able to report daily to the company’s Arlington/Fort Worth, TX branches to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
