Security Engineer

Cyber Spring are working with a leading brand looking for a Security Engineer to join their growing team in Newport Beach (4 days per week).

The Security Engineer will be responsible for the management of a range of Security tools including Threat Intelligence platforms, Attack Surface Management and Vulnerability Management. This role will also be responsible for:

• Assist with building out Threat Intelligence platforms and processes
• Automating tooling to aid with analysis of Security Incidents and Threat Intelligence
• Undertake Security Assessments and remediation activities in line with security frameworks including NIST
• Manage DMARC protocols for Email Security
• Undertake security operations activities including monitoring, analyzing and remediating threats
• Guide and perform security activities including vulnerability testing and analysis, design and implementation of new solutions/features and investigation into security events
• Make recommendations on toolset and process modifications and make improvements within production IT Security support
• Working with the development teams to ensure security best practices are implemented in a Low/No-Code environment

Desirable Experience of the Security Engineer:

• Experience working in a similar Security Engineering position
• Strong Threat Intelligence experience
• Experience working with a range of security tools and platforms including Threat Intelligence, Attack Surface Management and Vulnerability Management
• Experience monitoring security alerts and responding to incidents
• Experience using common security testing tools and techniques to perform a variety of security assessments across multiple platforms with significant expertise in either web or mobile penetration testing.
• Experience integrating security into SDLC
• Relevant security certifications are desirable but not essential
