Ultimate Staffing is currently seeking a Sr. Industrial Engineer to join a client in Grapevine, TX. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement innovative process solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements
- Project Management.
- Lead and manage engineering projects from conceptualization through to implementation and evaluation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure project goals are met.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure adherence to all project requirements.
- Data Analysis And Reporting.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to support decision-making processes.
- Generate detailed reports on process performance, and provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Implement and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and report on operational efficiency.
- Design And Implementation.
- Design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency in operations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Continuous Improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of the manufacturing floor.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff in lean practices and improvement techniques.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the organization.
- Cost Analysis And Reduction.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for process changes and new projects.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for reducing operational costs.
- Work collaboratively with procurement and finance teams to implement cost-saving measures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record in process optimization, project management, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in industrial engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Six Sigma tools).
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills.
