Position Overview
The Data Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing solutions for data ingestion, provisioning, and security in a complex data environment, including a data lake (S3), warehouse (Redshift), and marts (Redshift and MySQL). Utilizing technologies such as Scala, Apache Spark, Hive, Apache Pig, MapReduce, AWS Data Pipeline, AWS Glue, AWS EMR, Apache Kafka, and hands-on experience with Talend, the engineer contributes to the entire data processing lifecycle. Additionally, they actively participate in the testing process, ensuring software quality through test review and analysis, as well as certification.
Required Skills
- 3 - 5 years experience as a data engineer
- Hands on experience in Java, Scala and Spark
- Experience with Redshift and MySQL
- Experience in Talend is a plus.
- Strong understanding of big data platforms and technologies
