Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

1. Support the analysis, development, and review of fault isolation and troubleshooting procedures for engineering design; make recommendations for design improvements based on this analysis.
2. Involved with the engineering investigation, analysis, and resolution of reliability elements in design, development, and implementation of new and/or existing systems/sub-systems.
3. Perform Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) and conduct reliability analyses, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and determine associated metrics.
4. Lead the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Engineering Process.
5. Responsible for technical activity and completion of assigned tasks on time and budget.
6. Design, develop, analyze, document, and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems.
7. May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments.
8. Report progress and status regularly.
9. Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to support them, including cost as a key design variable.
10. Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments.
11. Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
12. Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements.
13. Develop prototypes to retire key development risks.
14. Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.
15. Participate in preparation of less-complex proposals.
16. May provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel.
17. Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
18. Attend appropriate engineering, customer, or business meetings.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
2. Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge.
3. Ability to work independently.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
