Fintech Data Analyst

Our client, Hamilton Lane , is looking for a Data Analyst in the Conshohocken market!

Job Responsibilities:

1. Maintain existing, or create new, integrations of data feeds from external data providers into our proprietary financial technology platform, Cobalt LP.
2. Manage the aggregate Cobalt dataset, inclusive of data from various providers.
   1. Oversee the data mapping/de-duping process and metadata tagging of funds.
3. Support the process of loading data from Hamilton Lane Investment Due Diligence into Cobalt.
4. Contribute to the creation of a private equity fund and deal benchmark.
5. Keep open communication and provide feedback for internal and external stakeholders about data provided to Cobalt.
6. Provide expertise on all data sources that are in Cobalt.
7. Support to Sales, Client Success, Product, and Development teams:
   1. Provide ad-hoc data research and analysis support.
   2. Assist in the preparation of data-driven presentations, reports, and insights for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. 0-3 years of relevant industry experience in data management, research, or related fields.
2. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in mathematics, computer science, statistics, engineering, or a related field.
3. Comfort and familiarity with large data sets, relational databases, reporting, and query tools.
4. Aptitude for problem solving.
5. Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
6. Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
7. Advanced experience in Excel is a plus (e.g., VBA, Macros).
8. Experience with advanced database or computational software tools is a plus (e.g., SQL, Access, SAS, R, Python).
9. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess good analytical skills.
10. Must be able to handle multiple assignments/initiatives.
11. Private markets experience is a plus.
