Position Description

CGI has an immediate need for an AWS Dev Ops Engineer to join our team. This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S, (In CT or ET) preferred location is Reston, VA, Columbia, SC, Belton, TX, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. Your future duties and responsibilities:

  1. Build and deploy CICD pipeline with multiple technologies like AWS
  2. Must be well versed in creating CI/CD pipelines, build docker containers
  3. Participate in technical design and choose the right tools such as AWS, Tomcat, WebLogic, and Spring Boot application
  4. Implement standards, processes, and controls for release and deployment activities in DevOps space
  5. Experience in (Maven, ANT, Shell), CI (Jenkins, Hudson, UCD, UCR) and automation (VM Ware, Puppet, ServerSpec, Chef, etc.)
  6. Experience in writing Docker files & creating images
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role:
  1. 8-10 years of experience as a DevSecOps and Cloud Engineering with AWS/Azure/GCP (must have AWS experience)
  2. Experience developing web applications and services using only .Net Development
  3. 4 or more years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Pipeline as Code (PaC), automated single click deployment, configuration management with large/mid-size application with production support
  4. 4 or more years of experience with Cloud based DevOps practices, especially highly hands-on experience with Terraform, OpenShift.
  5. 3+ years of experience with Containerization and Orchestration with Kubernetes, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, App Mesh/Istio, Graph QL, Graph db, Neo4j, Kinesis
  6. Hands-on experience with Terraform (must with several years of experiences) with IaC, Python development skills, proficient in AWS cloud, Jenkins with PaC, Kubernetes/EKS.
  7. Employ the values and principles of Agile development in a team environment.
  8. Support quality development practices and pursue new and better ways to build and deploy software.
  9. Ability to plan and engage with application team adopting DevSecOps, Cloud and automation transformation and optimize continuous deployment and continuous delivery practices
  10. Building cutting-edge solutions to solve problems with the right technologies.
  11. Create and Implement automating different types of testing, CICD pipelines, Software deployments
  12. Scripting languages, configuration management, Pipeline code, pipeline patterns, and CI tools
  13. Design and build solutions to technical challenges, leading the craftsmanship, resilience, and scalability of the solution while continuously improving DevOps engineering practices.
  14. Strong analytical, interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary due to the dynamic nature of collaborations with customers, internal team solving complex system problems together
Desired Skillset:
  1. Understanding of scalable web application architecture and infrastructure both in on-premise and cloud
  2. 2+ years of experience with implementing Security scan and monitoring with web, tool, networking perspective.
  3. Experience with Shell scripting.
  4. Skills and experiences in Site reliability engineering for infrastructure and application monitoring
  5. Experience in Agile Software Development with best practices
  6. Experience System level architect, like Linux or Windows flavors

Education:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

AWS Cloud Certification desired

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000.00 - $186,000.00.
