Position Summary
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our StaffingNation department. The Full Stack Developer will be a key member of our engineering team, coding both front-end and back-end systems. This individual will assist in making team decisions that will drive the future of our platforms experience. We expect a high level of comfort working with React.js, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (both client and server side). The right candidate will have experience with responsive layouts, mobile design, and a passion for solid UX.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Architect and provide guidance on building new end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale.
- Maintain and upgrade the software following deployment.
- Manage the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications.
- Oversee and guide the analyzing, writing, building, and deployment of software.
- Modify and test changes to previously developed programs.
- Engage and collaborate with front-end engineers and leading back-end engineers to create reliable APIs.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure that user interactions on web pages are intuitive and engaging.
- Collaborate across time zones via Slack, GitHub comments, Confluence, and frequent videoconferences.
Qualifications & Skills
- 4-7 years of development or related technical experience.
- Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, and front-end frameworks such as React.js, Node.js, PHP, and MVC frameworks.
- Familiarity with server-side programming languages including Java and Python.
- Knowledge of DBMS technology, including DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Aurora, Postgres, and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis.
- Experience with AWS services Lambda, Cognito, IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, ElasticCache, ELB, Cloudwatch, etc.
- Knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design.
- Strong understanding of Git.
- Experience collaborating with Graphic Designers and Product Managers to produce realistic solutions based on requirements, ensuring the meeting of steady deadlines and high-quality user experiences.
- Strong desire to stay up to date with software trends and innovative technology, and communicate technical terms with non-technical staff.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it.
