CNC Operator

Job Summary:
Herdeman has been in business for over 55 years serving industry as a premier machine shop and machine builder. We are looking for individuals on our first shift (7:00am-3:30pm) and our second shift (11:00am-7:30pm) who can setup, program, and operate CNC machining centers and lathes, as well as operate other manual machines as needed (bridgeport, lathe, VTL, boring bar).
Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Load CNC programs to the machine.
• Mount existing fixturing or develop your own machine setup.
• Install tooling in holders as needed.
• Read and Interpret drawings.
• Operate CNC and manual machines to produce parts to specifications.
• Meet required tolerances and perform all inspection steps using micrometers and calipers (first piece, in-process, and final)
• Operate overhead and jib cranes.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of CNC experience.
• Ability to multi-task operating more than 1 machine at a time.
• Experience with carbon steels, stainless steel and aluminum.
• Haas & Mazak experience a plus.

• Wages: $20.00-$27.00
