We are looking for a talented Senior Engineering Manager with a proven track record of building low-latency / high volume digital advertising systems and services. You hold a high bar when it comes to operational excellence and grow engineers to become future engineering leaders through coaching and leading with empathy. We use Golang and GCP technologies heavily.
Ideal candidates can work remotely from one of the following US states: California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Montana, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Washington or Wyoming.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers providing direction, support, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Define the multi-year vision, technical roadmap and strategy for your engineering team collaborating with peer engineering leaders within the organization.
- Be deeply involved in technical architecture and design. Lead the team in making ambiguous technical decisions and tradeoffs. Proactively manage and mitigate technical risks, particularly integration risks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to align priorities and deliver on business objectives.
- Develop and implement best practices, processes, mechanisms and standards to optimize team productivity and ensure high-quality software deliverables.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience.
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering software experience.
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications.
