Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team. As a leader, you will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and coordinating our engineering team's efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and implementation of our products, ensuring they meet the company's standards and goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency of the engineering team.
- Manage the engineering budget, resource allocation, and scheduling.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in product quality and performance.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of embedded software systems.
- Lead the design and development of medical devices, ensuring they adhere to regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as product management and marketing, to align engineering strategies and activities with the company's business goals.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to your team members.
- Create detailed engineering plans, processes, and procedures for engineering staff to use and abide by.
- Propose and manage training and development programs for engineers to enhance their skills and performance.
- Ensure the company's engineering operations and products comply with all industry regulations and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the embedded engineering field, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Proven experience in product development, embedded software engineering, and medical device engineering (also open to other high-reg industries).
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, and methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Design experience.
- Working knowledge of ISO standards (13485/14971/ IEC 62304).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in the use of engineering software, and up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and professional standards in the field of medical devices.
- A strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
