The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented and experienced EV Charging Software Developer to join our dynamic team. As an EV Charging Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales professionals, hardware engineers, firmware developers, and product managers to deliver cutting-edge solutions that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and user experience of EV charging systems.

Location: Any Major Metropolitan City - Relocation not required.

  • Provide technical support, liaising with customers to understand their requirements and collaborating with R&D to fulfill them.
  • Ensure software functionality post-upgrades and conduct thorough testing.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and assist in creating patches and updates.
  • Effectively communicate instructions to project stakeholders and address customer inquiries regarding product functionality.
  • File and track bugs from identification to resolution, ensuring thorough verification.
  • Maintain attention to detail to ensure seamless integration and functionality of application components.
  • Employ problem-solving skills to address design and testing process issues.
  • Maintain records of customer-reported issues.
  • Enhance applications by integrating new technologies and conducting upgrades.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and debugging to resolve customer-reported issues.
  • Propose software innovations based on market trends.
  • Stay updated on advancements in new technologies.
  • Utilize interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project team members.
  • Contribute to sales presentations and demonstrate prototypes and completed applications.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, or a related technology field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with EV Charging Equipment and 2+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
  • Experience with OCPP (v1.6J and v2.x) and OCPI protocols, as well as Hubject and OICP testing.
  • Familiarity with IoT technologies and protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, and TCP/IP.
  • Ability/experience to edit/create/troubleshoot on JSON, API (SOAP and REST).
  • Scripting for automation and code optimization is a plus.
  • Able to work with domestic and international teams.
  • Awareness of NEVI requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
