Job PurposeIndustrial Engineer in manufacturing is responsible for improving productivity and quality while reducing costs. You will devise efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, and information to provide a excellent service to our customers. You will assess workers, quality control, logistics, and other factors involved in coordinating production.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitors operations with an eye toward improving productivity and efficiency.Designs efficient production processes and workflows.Ensures that processes are designed to ensure that products meet quality standards.Reduces waste and addresses production issues.Reviews production schedules, processes, and specifications.Evaluates data to implement technological improvements in production processes.Implements controls to monitor costs and minimize production issues.Identifies potential locations and determines facility design.Works with other departments to develop design and production standards.Prepares inventory analysis and procurement purchase orders to address production needs.Designs facility layout and personnel requirements in relation to production operations.Helps to develop instruction manuals for production personnel.Hires, trains, and oversees production personnel.Ensures that work processes are safe and addresses safety issues and concerns.Generates process documentation and reports.Works with technical writers to prepare client and customer proposals.Skills and Qualifications:Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards in the field or industryUnderstanding of lean manufacturing and supply-chain managementFamiliarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Just In Time (JIT) strategizingCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsData analytics skills and experienceAttention to detailUnderstanding of ergonomicsProject management skillsStrong communication and presentation skillsOrganizational, planning, and documentation skillsAdept at using presentation software and presenting complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholdersAbility to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneouslyPast use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools a plusExperience using computer-aided design (CAD) platformsExperience using System Applications and Products (SAP) softwareIndustrial EngineerEducation, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:BS in industrial engineering or related field such as manufacturing or mechanical engineering, required2-3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environmentWebsite: EEO / ACCOMMODATIONS Naprotek is an Equal Employment/Affirmative Action employer including Disability/Vets .
