QA Engineer
We are looking for a Quality Assurance & Support Engineer to help our team execute test scripts to verify software features, document software defects and help ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality software releases. This role shall be a member of the Engineering Support group (ESG). ESG serves as the conduit between our Development team and other internal or external customers. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following key characteristics & responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze system specifications to develop effective test strategies and plans.
- Execute manual and automated tests to ensure product quality.
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs and defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets business requirements and standards.
- Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree. Bachelor's Degree a plus.
- 3+ years of application testing experience.
- Knowledge of working in an agile development environment.
- Experience with agile test tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of programming scripting languages as it applies to automation tools.
- Experience in manual testing.
- Knowledge of QA concepts and methodology.
- Experience writing test plans, test strategies and test cases.
- Knowledge of at least one Programming or scripting language: Python, Java, C++ etc.
- Troubleshooting/Debugging experience.
- Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness.
- Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and ability to multitask on multiple products and projects.
- Dealing with ambiguity and exceptional problem solving skills.
